75 Jahre nach der Kapitulation Nazi-Deutschlands und der Befreiung der Menschen in Europa und Deutschlands fand am 8. Mai 2020 in der NEUEN WACHE – der zentralen Gedenkstätte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland für die Opfer von Krieg und Gewaltherrschaft -eine Gedenkveranstaltung statt. Aufgrund der Corona-Pandemie konnte die geplante zentrale Veranstaltung nicht stattfinden. Nur eine kleine Feier fand mittags im Rahmen der Sicherheitsvorkehrungen statt.
Am Nachmittag ging ich dorthin, um gemeinsam mit meiner Zeichnerkollegin Marion Brandes zu zeichnen.
75 years after the capitulation of Nazi Germany and the liberation of the people of Europe and Germany, a commemorative event was held at midday on 8 May 2020 at the NEUE WACHE – the Federal Republic of Germany’s central memorial for the victims of war and tyranny. Due to the Corona Pandemic, the scheduled central event could not take place. Only a small celebration took place within the framework of the security precautions.
In the afternoon I went there to draw together with fellow sketcher Marion Brandes.
